The Cold War Era Review

The game, as the name would state, starts you off in the Cold War Era. I hate to compare it to Risk, but it is essence that. Don’t let that sway your preference to play the game. While it is very hard to get going and figure out what you have to do. It keeps growing on me the more I learn of how to play it.

You start by choosing to play as the US or the USSR. Then you try to take over the world! You have to increase your influence around the world before the time runs out. This really puts on the heat on you to get things moving around the world.

The game starts you off right into the thick of things. You can start riots, you can throw a parade for your controlled countries, and implement spies into all the rest of the countries.

The multi-player is quite a bit of fun when playing against a friend. The rivalry can become quite tense when going head to head.

The space system is well built to go through to gain reputation and global influence. This also helps you get you advanced in the game.  But sadly, this is one of the only aspects of the game that really are complete and working.

The rest of the system is a bit broken, but I have faith that they will continue to develop the game into the master piece it has been dreamt to be.
